Job summary

Randstad is seeking an experienced Technology Architect to shape enterprise-grade cloud, platform, and infrastructure solutions. In this long-term contract role, you will establish baselines, define target-state blueprints, and drive platform modernisation while ensuring resilience, security, and lifecycle alignment.

Lead governance artefacts, IaC patterns, and hybrid-cloud adoption across Azure, SAP on Azure, and connected enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Substantial architecture experience across enterprise infrastructure and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of Azure landing zones, networking, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container platforms, platform engineering, automation, and FinOps.
• Proven track record in technology lifecycle management, debt reduction, migration planning, and vendor assessments.

Responsibilities

• Establish current-state architecture baselines and define target-state roadmaps across cloud, network, compute, storage, and platforms.
• Develop enterprise technology standards, reference architectures, and a governed pattern catalogue for Azure and IaC.
• Implement a technology lifecycle management framework with debt registers, remediation activities, and migration roadmaps.
• Deliver design assurance, architecture reviews, and governance artefacts to meet security, operability, resilience, and cost needs.
• Guide hybrid-cloud adoption, platform modernisation, and connectivity boundaries, including SAP on Azure.

Are you an experienced Technology Architect looking to shape enterprise-grade cloud, platform, and infrastructure solutions? We are seeking a high-calibre architecture specialist to establish and govern technology architecture baselines, define target-state blueprints, and drive critical platform modernisation initiatives. In this long-term contract role, you will be instrumental in developing reusable patterns, guiding hybrid-cloud adoption, and ensuring enterprise technology investments align with overarching resilience, security, and lifecycle objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Establish current-state technology architecture baselines and define target-state roadmaps across cloud, network, compute, storage, and enterprise platforms.
• Develop enterprise technology standards, reference architectures, and a governed pattern catalogue covering Azure landing zones, hybrid connectivity, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement a technology lifecycle management framework, incorporating technical-debt registers, remediation activities, and migration roadmaps.
• Deliver design assurance, architecture reviews, and governance artefacts to ensure alignment with security, operability, resilience, and cost requirements.
• Guide hybrid-cloud adoption, platform modernisation, and connectivity boundaries, including SAP on Azure and operational technology dependencies.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• Substantial architecture experience across enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, networks, compute, storage, platforms, and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of Azure landing zones, management groups, policies, networking, Private Link, identity foundations, and disaster recovery.
• Demonstrated ability to define architectural practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container platforms, platform engineering, automation, and FinOps.
• Proven track record in technology lifecycle management, technical-debt reduction, migration planning, and vendor assessments.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, with TOGAF and Microsoft Azure certifications highly regarded.
