Job summary

St Vincent's Care Services Werribee is seeking a Chef to join a dedicated team that delivers compassionate, high-quality dining for residents. You will lead kitchen operations, manage dietary requirements, and ensure safety standards in a fast-paced aged care setting.

Ideally you bring a trade qualification in commercial cooking, experience with fine dining or hotels, and a current Food Safety Supervisor certificate.

Qualifications

• High volume cooking experience.
• Flexibility to manage special dietary requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards.
• Trade qualification in Commercial cooking and experience in fine dining or Hotels (preferred).
• Current FSS Certificate (Food Safety Supervisor).
• Roster management and budgeting while the head chef is away.
• Be part of the leadership team to ensure a superior dining service.
• Maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Experience in aged care facility or bistro/hotel is desirable (5+ years).
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced team.
• Ability to lead under pressure; strong communication and customer service.
• National Police Certificate; NDIS Worker Screening may be required.

Responsibilities
