Job summary

Glitch Productions, an independent Australian animation studio, is seeking a 2D Animation Director to lead the animation team across long-form projects. You will define style, storytelling, and quality while collaborating with Story, Design, Layout, and Compositing to ensure cohesive visuals.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience guiding teams through 2D pipelines and a strong portfolio in traditional animation.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as Animation Director or Supervisor in 2D productions.
• Strong portfolio with hand-drawn 2D animation.
• Solid understanding of human anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the overall animation style and visual rhythm.
• Provide clear direction on acting, posing, timing, and performance.
• Review storyboards and animatics to identify needs early.
• Deliver draw-overs, notes, and examples guiding animators toward consistency.
