Job summary

Glitch Productions, based in Parramatta, Australia, seeks an Assistant Editor to support the editorial team from pre-production through post-production.

You will maintain Premiere projects, manage Storyboard Pro assets, log dialogue, and prep materials for editors, ensuring smooth turnovers to sound and music departments. The role requires strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of animation workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in animation/film or television editorial.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Excellent organization skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of animation pipeline and workflows.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under tight schedules.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Passion for animation.
• Storyboard Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Unreal Engine experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Importing, logging and prepping dialogue recordings for editors: scratch dialogue, production recording sessions and ADR.

• Assisting editors in preparation for screenings and QC of outputs.
• Publishing to production, including managing XMLs and timing changes.
• Providing information to production that is timely and accurate.

Role Information

The Assistant Editor is responsible for providing technical and organizational support to the editorial team throughout all stages of production, from pre-production through post-production. The role involves maintaining an efficient editorial pipeline, supporting the editors, and ensuring all materials are accurately organized and managed. Key responsibilities include:

Your Duties Will Include

• Maintaining Premiere project and keeping files organized.
• Managing and processing storyboards using Storyboard Pro. Also importing layout, animation, and comp shots.
• Importing, logging and prepping dialogue recordings for editors: scratch dialogue, production recording sessions and ADR.
• Outputting files for various uses including turnovers for sound department, and music departments.
• Organizing sound effects and music and walla libraries.
• Assisting the editors in preparation for screenings and QC of outputs.
• Publishing to production, including managing XML's and timing changes
• Providing information to production that is timely and accurate.

A Successful Candidate Will Have

• Minimum 12 months experience in animation/film or television editorial.
• High degree of proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Excellent organization skills with great attention to detail.
• Understanding of animation pipeline and workflows.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working under tight schedules.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Passion for animation
• Storyboard Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Unreal engine experience a plus
