Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a skilled technician for mechanical and electrical assembly and testing of LCC products. The role focuses on following Vertiv’s product portfolio requirements and site directives from management.

Responsibilities include safe EHS practices, accurate assembly and testing of AC/DC systems, and maintaining quality through proper configuration before dispatch. Collaboration with LCC and support teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in electrical fitting.
  • CAD knowledge.
  • Ability to work with new products, processes, tools and technologies.
  • Interpersonal and prioritisation skills required.

  • Maintain a workplace free from hazards.
  • Complete assembly, configuration and testing of AC/DC power systems, precision cooling and racks products within the scope of the technician’s competency and experience.
  • Ensure that a level of competence is maintained as required by the applicant for a high level of technical aspects. To adequately work with minimum supervision, training is available for personal growth within the company.
  • Take all steps necessary to ensure complete security and maintenance of the Company's equipment, documentation and materials. Reject non-conforming materials
  • Process sign-off for responsible activities
  • Responsible for the testing and configuration of the equipment before dispatch

The purpose of this position is to carry our mechanical and electrical assembly and testing of LCC products from with Vertiv's product portfolio and from third party suppliers, as planned and directed by the LCC and Seven Hills Site Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure EHS risk is identified and controlled for all activities.
  • Maintain a workplace free from hazards.
  • Ensure good housekeeping across the site. Complete assembly, configuration and testing of AC/DC power systems, precision cooling and racks products within the scope of the technician’s competency and experience
  • Ensure that a level of competence is maintained as required by the applicant for a high level of technical aspects. To adequately work with minimum supervision, training is available for personal growth within the company.
  • Take all steps necessary to ensure complete security and maintenance of the Company's equipment, documentation and materialsReject non-conforming materials

WHS, Environment & Quality
  • Ensure site induction, training and competency requirements are up to date for all workers including contractors.
  • Maintain the EHS Risk Register for all relevant site activities.
  • Comply with the Work, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality obligations management system.
  • Actively promote and lead a positive culture and sustainable EHS practices in the workplace Report all incidents and Good Catch reports to supervisor.
  • Conducting risk assessments and workplace inspections and ensuring relevant EHS policies and SWMS are followed.
