Job summary

Chamberlains Law Firm in Sydney seeks a Corporate & Commercial Lawyer to join our Sydney office. This role offers career development and mentoring while gaining exposure to a wide range of corporate matters for diverse clients.

You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on governance, support mergers and acquisitions, and build strong client relationships within a collaborative national team. Flexible working arrangements and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Admitted lawyer with corporate/commercial experience preferred.
• Experience in private practice or in-house environment.
• Strong drafting and file management skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements.

• Support mergers, acquisitions and business sales.

The Role

This role offers career development and one-on-one mentoring while gaining exposure to a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, including:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
• Advising on business structuring, governance and regulatory compliance
• Supporting mergers, acquisitions and business sales
• Managing general corporate advisory work for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Working closely with Partners and senior lawyers on complex transactions
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships

You will play a key role in supporting the team to deliver high-quality, commercial legal advice while contributing to the continued growth of the Sydney practice.

About You

We are seeking a motivated and admitted lawyer with:

• An interest in corporate and commercial law, experience preferred
• Experience gained in a reputable private practice or in-house environment
• Strong drafting and file management skills
• A proactive mindset and genuine interest in business and commercial outcomes
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
