The role focuses on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and technology agreements across SaaS, licensing, distribution and procurement, with exposure to technology contracts and privacy/compliance matters, while advising and managing escalating client needs in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years PQE with Australian Practising Certificate.
• Strong general commercial drafting and negotiating experience.
• Familiarity with technology contracts, including SaaS and related agreements.
• Ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
• Strong communication skills and confidence managing multiple client priorities.
• Collaborative, proactive and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial and technology agreements.
• Work across SaaS, services licensing, reseller, distribution, supply, procurement and consultancy agreements.
• Advise on contractual interpretation, risk allocation and commercial strategy.
• Provide privacy, data protection and regulatory compliance advice.
• Manage client relationships and ongoing retainers.
• Contribute to legal updates and the growth of the team.

• Work across Saas, services licensing, reseller, distribution, supply, procurement and consultancy agreements
• Advise on contractual interpretation, risk allocation and commercial strategy
• Provide practice advice on privacy, data protection and regulatory compliance
• Manage client relationships and ongoing retainers
• Contribute to legal updates and the continued growth of the team

The ideal candidate:

• Approximately 2-4 years PQE with a current Australian practicing certificate
• Strong general commercial experience and confidence drafting and negotiating complex agreements
• Familiarity with technology contracts, including SaaS and related commercial agreements
• Ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice
• Strong communication skills and confidence managing multiple client priorities
• Collaborative, proactive and happy to roll up your sleeves in a fast-moving team
