Job summary

Jobtailor in Sydney seeks an experienced commercial lawyer to act as an extension of clients’ in-house teams and deliver practical, business-minded advice across a broad range of agreements and regulatory issues.

You will draft and negotiate complex contracts, advise on governance, and mentor junior lawyers while supporting business development initiatives and client relationships in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practise on an unrestricted basis in Australia.
• At least 4 years’ post qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills across commercial agreements.
• Experience advising on general commercial and regulatory matters across diverse industries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to sophisticated clients.
• Solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial acumen.
• Autonomous work style while collaborating in a high-performing team.
• Interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers and graduates.
• Current Australian Legal Practising Certificate.
