Job summary

Adelaide Innovative Landscaping is seeking an experienced landscaper to join as a leading hand. This full-time role offers a path to leadership while supporting the site manager on Adelaide's high-profile projects.

You will supervise a landscape crew, coordinate daily activities and mentor junior staff. A strong knowledge of plants, soils, irrigation, bases and hardscape is essential, with experience in concrete/paving and valid licenses viewed favorably.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years landscaping or equivalent experience.
• Energetic personality that enjoys leading as well as teamwork.
• Strong knowledge of plants, turf, soil conditions and landscape materials.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems.
• Strong understanding of levels, base preparation and hardscape elements.
• Proficiency in operating bobcat/excavators.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Experience in concrete/paving is highly regarded.
• MR/HR license highly regarded.
• Current driver’s license is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

About the role

AIL is seeking an experienced landscaper to slot right into our team as a leading hand. This full-time position that offers a great opportunity to develop your skills as a leader while still working with the support of the site manager and project team on some of Adelaide's highest profile construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Working alongside the team to ensure all work is installed to a high standard
• Supervising and coordinating the landscape crew's daily activities
• Allocating tasks and resources effectively to meet project objectives
• Demonstrating best practices and providing guidance/mentoring younger team members
• Conducting site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specs
• Communicating with clients and site/project managers regarding progress, challenges and discuss solutions
• Maintaining equipment and tools in good working order and ensuring proper storage and maintenance

What we're looking for
