Job summary

Fifth Season Landscapes in Sydney seeks a Landscape Architect/Designer to operate as Design Manager, leading a team of Designers and working closely with the two Directors. You will be creative, enthusiastic and highly focused on detail with strong time management.

The role is client facing and offers the opportunity to shape the design direction for high-end residential landscapes and oversee projects from conception to delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Design.
• 8+ years experience in landscape architecture or design.
• Ability to lead a design team and manage projects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Designers and run the design team.
• Deliver outstanding design work while meeting financial and timeline targets.
• Manage design projects from conception through delivery.
• Collaborate with company Directors on design direction and client briefings.
• Coordinate design development through construction documentation.

This is a client facing role and a chance to be instrumental in the design direction for the company. You will work directly in a design and construction company and lead a team of Designers, working very closely with the two company Directors. You will need to be creative, enthusiastic and focused with attention to detail and great at time management.

About you

• Skills in sketch design and detail drafting
• Skills in Vectorworks (essential)
• Skills in Google SketchUp
• In-depth understanding of structural landscape elements and budgeting
• Strong plant knowledge
