Job summary

Sydney Local Council is seeking a Landscape Architect to drive the design and documentation of upgrades to walking tracks, parks, and playgrounds. You will contribute creative landscape solutions and lead design work aligned with the Delivery Program and Operational Plan.

You will collaborate with a supportive team, maintain high technical standards, and manage project documentation, with an emphasis on quality and compliance with local government policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid understanding of landscape design, construction and local government policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare landscape concepts, master plans and detailed design documentation.
• Estimate costs and manage contracts for projects.
• Document designs accurately using AutoCAD.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Coordinator. Your primary focus will be to release your creative expertise in landscape design and documentation to elevate Council's annual upgrade of walking tracks, fitness stations, parks, and playground projects. You will hold a key role in bringing to life various landscape and related projects and programs outlined in Council's visionary Delivery Program and Operational Plan.

DUTIES.

• Preparing landscape concepts, master plans and detailed design documentation
• Cost estimation and contract management
• Accurate documentation through AutoCAD
• Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or related
• Working knowledge using Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent technical understanding of design and construction
• Strong knowledge of Local Government legislation and policies
