Job summary

Ian Barker Gardens is seeking a Landscape Construction Supervisor to lead high-end residential projects in Melbourne's inner eastern suburbs. You will oversee a team of skilled landscapers and apprentices, plan materials, coordinate with clients and office staff, and mentor junior staff to elevate landscaping skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape construction supervision, ideally 3+ years.
• Experience in high-end residential landscape construction.
• Sound knowledge of hard and soft landscape construction techniques.
• Certificate III in Landscape Construction (or similar).
• Australian White Card.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a passionate landscaper to join our team as a Landscape Construction Supervisor.

About us:

Ian Barker Landscapes (the construction division of Ian Barker Gardens) creates some of Melbourne's most admired gardens. We are looking for someone who:

• Has prior experience in the same or a similar role with demonstrated knowledge in ALL areas of landscape construction (ideally at least three years of experience as a supervisor)
• Has experience in high-end residential landscape construction
• Has sound knowledge of both hard and soft landscape construction techniques
• Has a Certificate III in Landscape Construction (or similar)
• Has an Australian White Card
• Is passionate about landscape construction and has an eagerness to learn and develop their skills as well as lead and impart knowledge to other employees, especially apprentices
• Is a supportive team player who helps to foster a culture of collaboration to achieve the best outcomes for our clients' gardens
• Maintains a high professional standard by taking an organised and efficient approach to tasks and responsibilities, and can problem-solve when required
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills

What you can expect your days to look like:

• Ensure site safety and construction quality are upheld to the highest standard

Our team typically works in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne (Canterbury, Camberwell, Kew, Hawthorn, Toorak, Malvern, Glen Iris, Armadale, etc.) with the occasional jobs outside of this area
