Job summary

Greenworx is looking for a Landscape Construction Projects Team Leader to join our Melbourne team. You will lead a small crew across daily landscape construction projects, coordinating planting, irrigation, paving and finishing works while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on landscape construction experience, the ability to plan tasks, and strong communication skills to liaise with clients and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a landscape construction crew on daily projects
• Oversee planting, mulching and garden bed installations
• Coordinate irrigation installations and basic system adjustments
• Oversee concreting, paving and edging works for finishes
• Lead rock work, retaining walls and garden structures builds
• Organise site prep, materials, tools and equipment
• Carry out general landscaping and site improvements
• Complete daily site reports and documentation
• Communicate professionally with clients and management
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and equipment

Essential Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Team Leader in landscape construction or a related field

• Qualification in Landscape Construction, Landscaping or Horticulture are highly regarded.

• Practical experience across a range of landscape construction activities

• Proven ability to lead and support a small crew while working hands-on

• Ability to plan daily tasks, coordinate materials and meet project deadlines

• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

• A professional and positive approach with clients and staff

• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail

• Valid manual driver's licence

• OHS Construction Induction - White Card

• Willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check, Police Check and Medical Assessment before starting

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small landscape construction crew across daily projects, allocating tasks and coordinating on-site activities

• Complete planting, mulching and garden bed installations across landscaped areas

• Coordinate and assist with irrigation installations, pipework, connections and basic system adjustments

• Oversee and undertake concreting, paving and steel edging works to create quality landscape finishes

• Lead and assist with rock work, retaining walls, feature builds, garden structures and general landscape construction projects

• Organise site preparation, materials, tools and equipment, working alongside trades and crew members

• Carry out general landscaping, maintenance and site improvement works as required

• Complete daily site reports and maintain accurate project documentation

• Communicate professionally with clients, site contacts and Greenworx management

• Ensure work areas remain clean, safe and organised, maintaining vehicles and equipment to company standards
