Job summary

Federation Council is seeking a motivated Landfill Officer to join the Engineering Services department in Corowa. This role involves managing essential waste infrastructure, ensuring all facilities operate safely and comply with regulations.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence and General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
• Proven experience in cash handling, receipting, and reconciliation.
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and close facilities, collect tipping fees and record waste quantities.
• Inspect incoming waste to ensure correct disposal and prevent hazards.
• Operate plant to manage waste cells and compact materials.
• Conduct quarterly groundwater monitoring and site clean-ups.
• Manage invoicing records and adhere to data capture procedures.
