Job summary

Horizon Power is seeking a Land Officer to support land access, tenure management and acquisition for regional and remote Western Australia projects. Working within the Sustainability team, you will interpret land-related information, manage approvals and coordinate actions across multiple workstreams.

You will build strong internal relationships, engage with external stakeholders when needed, and help ensure compliance with Crown land processes and heritage considerations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in land access, land tenure and Crown land processes.
  • GIS experience and the ability to interpret spatial and land related information.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects or workstreams in a project environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions focused approach and the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Support land access, tenure management and acquisition activities and compliance across Horizon Power projects and operations.
  • Research and assess land tenure matters, including Crown land, leases and licences.
  • Use GIS systems to interpret land, tenure, native title and heritage information.
  • Coordinate land related approvals, actions and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Build trusted relationships and provide support to internal stakeholders on land related matters. Clarifying requirements and helping identify practical solutions where required.

Join Horizon Power as a Land Officer and support the land access and land tenure activities that help deliver critical energy infrastructure across regional and remote Western Australia. Working within our Sustainability team, you'll play an important role in helping projects and operational teams navigate land related requirements, approvals and acquisition pathways.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience in land access, land tenure and GIS. Acting as a technical service provider to the business, you'll partner closely with internal stakeholders across project development, project delivery, operations and other business units to help progress land related outcomes. While you'll engage with external stakeholders when required, much of your work will be focused on supporting teams across Horizon Power.
