Job summary

HorizonPower is hiring a Data Engineer in Bentley, WA. You will join the Digital & Data Transformation team to build trusted data foundations powering reporting, analytics and AI capabilities that support regional communities across Western Australia.

You’ll connect data from multiple systems, create scalable pipelines and collaborate with BI Analysts and engineers to evolve Horizon Power's data ecosystem. If you enjoy solving complex data challenges and driving real business outcomes, this role

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering data engineering solutions and building scalable data pipelines.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python and modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake, Power BI and modern data architectures.
• Experience designing real-time and event-driven data integration using Kafka.
• Hands-on with data ingestion and CDC technologies (BryteFlow, Upsolver or similar).
• Knowledge of batch and streaming data patterns and integrating enterprise systems into cloud analytics.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience delivering data engineering solutions and building scalable data pipelines.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python and modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience working with technologies such as Snowflake, Power BI and contemporary data architectures.
• Experience designing and supporting real-time and event-driven data integration solutions using data streaming platforms such as Confluent Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with data ingestion and change data capture (CDC) technologies, including tools such as BryteFlow, Upsolver or similar modern data integration platforms.
• Knowledge of batch and streaming data patterns, data synchronisation, and integrating enterprise systems into cloud-based analytical platforms.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, remain calm under pressure and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
