Job summary

Labourer (Town Services)

As a Labourer (Town Services), you will be instrumental to the upkeep and improvement of community assets, including streetscapes, parks, public facilities, and town infrastructure. You will report to the Town Services Supervisor and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of operational services to keep our town clean, functional and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and development of streetscapes and public areas to improve amenities
• General labour duties at town facilities
• Set up and pack up of events

Qualifications

• Current Qld 'MR' Class Driver's Licence
• Aptitude for gardening and plant care and working in landfill areas and cemeteries
• Sufficient communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal qualification in relevant field of horticulture or civil earthworks
• Competencies for medium size plant and machinery
• Knowledge and experience in the maintenance of plants, sport fields, landscaping, tree planting and pruning
