Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council seeks Labourers to join its construction and maintenance teams in the Toowoomba region. You will work on diverse tasks across pipelines, roads, drainage and community infrastructure, in a multi-skilled crew.

About the position

As aLabourer, you will perform a broad range of tasks in a constructionand/or maintenance team within the Toowoomba Region. You willwork as part of a multi-skilled team to complete program objectivesfor the maintenance and construction of Council’s infrastructurenetworks.

What you'll bring

• Year10 education OR a combination of experience,qualification, and competence which enables you to perform allduties of the position.
• WHSCompetency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepareto work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, ora willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Current ‘C’Class Manual Driver Licence.
• Working in Proximityto Traffic Awareness Part 1 and 2 (or obtained within three (3)months post commencement).
• Theability to perform physical tasks, and to operate and maintainplant and equipment.
• Soundnumeracy, written, and communication skills.
• Acommitment to teamwork, safety and wellbeing.

Thepreferred candidate will be required to undertake a CriminalHistory Check and a pre-employment medical assessment to assesstheir ability to perform the genuine occupational requirements ofthe position.
