Job summary

GV Security Fencing is seeking a reliable labourer based in Seymour, with work across Victoria. You will assist with the installation of security fencing, perform manual labour, operate machines and hand tools, and assist in on-site problem solving.

Ideal candidates can measure accurately, cut with grinders, and have welding experience as a plus. Travel to multiple sites with company vehicles; accommodation and meals provided when staying away from home.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Driver's License (MR an advantage).
• OH&S White/Red Card.
• Knowledge of hand power tools and their safe operation.
• Practical thinking and problem-solving on site.

Responsibilities

• Install security fencing across sites in Victoria.
• Perform manual labour and operate machines as required.
• Use powered hand tools (grinders, drills, etc.).
• Measure with a tape and cut with a grinder as needed.
• Welding experience would be an advantage.

About the Role

Based in Seymour 3660 - work across Victoria

Our labourers are expected to carry out the installation of security fencing. This includes:

• Manual labour
• Machine use
• Use of powered hand tools (grinders, drills etc).

Applicants should be capable of measuring with a tape measure and cutting with a grinder confidently.

Welding experience would also be an advantage.

Ideal applicants will be able to think on their feet to solve practical problems arising in site day-to-day activities.

Our sites are based all over Victoria, so working away from home is required from time to time. All travel is in company vehicles. In working away from home situations, accommodation is supplied and meal allowance provided.

Skills and Experience

Prospective candidates will require: Essential Qualifications

• Aged 18+
• Driver's License (MR an advantage)
• OH&S White/Red Card
• A knowledge of hand power tools and their safe operation
• Practical thinking

Desirable but not essential are:

• ESI Worker training (Entry to HV etc)
• Machine operating tickets (excavator, skidsteer, telehandler, scissor lift, boom lift)
• Relevant experience in fencing, landscaping or construction role. Machine operating experience also an advantage.
