Job summary

Ellerslie Farms Group in rural Queensland is seeking a hands-on agricultural worker to join a small team. You will operate machinery and support day-to-day farm tasks, ensuring safety and bio-security compliance.

The role requires practical, reliable individuals who can work in dusty outdoor conditions and follow strict procedures. Essential: valid driver’s licence and Construction Card (Blue or White), plus current tickets for loader, forklift, telehandler and bobcat.

Qualifications

• Experience in a physical, hands-on role in an agricultural working environment is required.
• Desirable: previous machine operating experience in agricultural, construction, or industrial environments.
• A can-do attitude with cooperative and efficient work to meet daily requirements.
• Reliable transport and good attention to detail.

About The Role...

Applicants should have experience working in a physical, hands‑on role, with a demonstrated knowledge and skill required for an agricultural working environment, proactive fault‑finding ethic, with a solution finding focus. An excellent work ethic and be committed to their trade. Must be honest and reliable, as well as have the capacity for accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable: Previous machine operating experience, particularly within agricultural, construction, or industrial environments. Relevant tickets, licences, or demonstrated experience operating machinery and equipment will be highly regarded.

Essential requirements of the role:

• Drivers Licence
• Construction Card (Blue or White)

You Will Need To Have

• Current machinery tickets for loader, forklift, telehandler and bobcat;
• Have a \"can do\" attitude by working cooperatively and efficiently to meet daily requirements;
• Be accountable for the work completed;
• A demonstrated understanding of the importance of teamwork;
• Good attention to detail;
• Self‑motivated and driven attitude;
• Ideally, you will have some basic mechanically knowledge and the ability to adequately inspect and troubleshoot any vehicle or equipment provided for your use;
• Reliable transport.

What else do I need?

• Excellent communication skills along with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships;
• A passion for Agriculture and a genuine interest in working in a rural area;
• Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills;
• A valid driver’s license and your own transport;
• Sound physical fitness, with the ability to work in dirty or dusty environments, work at heights, work in confined spaces, or work outside in all types of weather.
