Job summary

Ellerslie Farms Group is seeking a reliable, hands-on worker for our agricultural operations near Toowoomba. You will operate loader, forklift, telehandler and bobcat machinery, adhere to strict bio-security rules, and work in a small, rural team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain loaders, forklifts, telehandlers and bobcats as part of daily tasks.

We employ over 500 people across our farming and grading operations based at Millmerran, an hour west of Toowoomba in Queensland. About The Role ...

Applicants should have experience working in a physical, hands-on role, with a demonstrated knowledge and skill required for an agricultural working environment, proactive fault-finding ethic, with a solution finding focus. An excellent work ethic and be committed to their trade. Must be honest and reliable, as well as have the capacity for accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable: Previous machine operating experience, particularly within agricultural, construction, or industrial environments. Relevant tickets, licences, or demonstrated experience operating machinery and equipment will be highly regarded.

About You ...

Essential requirements of the role:

• Drivers Licence
• Construction Card (Blue or White)

You Will Need To Have

• Current machinery tickets for loader, forklift, telehandler and bobcat;
• Have a "can do" attitude by working cooperatively and efficiently to meet daily requirements;
• Be accountable for the work completed;
• A demonstrated understanding of the importance of teamwork;
• Good attention to detail;
• Self-motivated and driven attitude;
• Ideally, you will have some basic mechanically knowledge and the ability to adequately inspect and troubleshoot any vehicle or equipment provided for your use;
• Reliable transport.

What else do I need?

• Excellent communication skills along with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships;
• A passion for Agriculture and a genuine interest in working in a rural area;
• Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills;
• A valid driver’s license and your own transport;
• Sound physical fitness, with the ability to work in dirty or dusty environments, work at heights, work in confined spaces, or work outside in all types of weather.
