Job summary

Glencore is seeking a Laboratory Technician at McArthur River Mine in the Northern Territory. The role supports operations across mining, metallurgy and environmental teams with process chemistry and mineral analytics.

Reporting to Laboratory Supervisor, responsibilities include daily ore sample prep, plant sampling and wet chemistry, using XRF/ICP-OES, while maintaining safety, data quality and equipment. FIFO from Darwin on a 15-on/13-off roster.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in sample prep and data entry.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting in a minerals lab.

Responsibilities

Laboratory Technician | McArthur River Mine | Northern Territory

At MRM, we’re looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our team. You will work in a multidisciplinary team environment sharing knowledge, skills and experience. This role supports our operations by providing specialised process chemistry and mineral analytical services to our Mining, Metallurgy, Environment and Projects & Water departments.

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, key responsibilities may include:

• Following laboratory standards and procedures.
• Daily sample preparation of ores and concentrates.
• Sample collection in the plant.
• Acid digest of solid samples and wet chemical techniques.

• Actively support and adhere to our safety procedures and practices.
