Job summary

Intertek Envirolab is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA-accredited laboratory. This role is the afternoon shift from 1 pm to 9 pm and involves preparing samples for analysis while supporting multiple teams to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

You will prepare samples, perform analyses, and contribute to quality control, safety, and documentation while maintaining a clean workspace. A Science degree with a Chemistry major is preferred, with prior lab experience valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in science with a chemistry major is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar laboratory role is desirable.
• Availability to work the 1–9 pm afternoon shift.

We are a NATA-accredited laboratory servicing Environmental Consultants, Mines, Occupational Hygienists, Government Departments, Industry,and the general public by providing great service and quality.

About the Role

We are seeking applications for a Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA-accredited laboratory. This role will be working the afternoon shift from 1 pm – 9 pm. The role involves preparing samples for analysis and requires a versatile individual who can adapt to various tasks and work across multiple teams. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation & Analysis: Prepare and analyse samples, ensuring tests are conducted within the required holding time.
• Quality Control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
• Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.

About You
