Job summary

Functional Pathology Laboratory & Dispensary – Sydney is seeking a Full-Time Technician based in our Alexandria pathology laboratory and dispensary to support patient testing and results reporting.

You will perform sample testing, operate instruments, manage specimen reception, and contribute to research projects while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent is required, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite / Google Docs.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

The Role

This role will be based in our pathology laboratory and dispensary in Alexandria, Sydney.

Core responsibilities include:

• Supporting and shipping from the dispensary, including building test kits.

About You

• Experience in a laboratory setting (functional pathology experience highly regarded).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Confidence managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

• Flexibility to support both lab and dispensary operations as required.

Highly regarded experience:

• Roche equipment and ELISA (manual or semi-automatic).

Minimum qualification:

Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent, with subjects relevant to medical science, pathology or medical laboratory operations.
