Australian Clinical Labs in Bella Vista, NSW, is seeking a part-time Laboratory Assistant to join our dedicated team. The role involves specimen reception, preparation for analysis, and maintaining equipment in a compliant lab environment.

Key duties include triage of samples, prioritising referrals, and ensuring accurate sample requirements are met. Excellent communication with clients and flexible rosters are required to meet deadlines.

• Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or currently studying for it.

Responsabilidades

• Upon arrival, receive specimens and prepare them for analysis.
• Maintain accurate and efficient workflows in a fast-paced lab.
• Triaging and prioritising samples based on referral and clinical notes.
• Determine correct sample requirements for tests requested.
• Provide excellent communication with internal and external clients.
• Uphold customer service excellence and courteous phone manner.
• Work flexible roaster, including weekends and public holidays.

We are seeking Laboratory Assistant to join our dedicated laboratory team within Bella Vista, NSW. In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for specimen reception, preparation of specimens for analysis, customer service, referral of specimens to tertiary laboratories and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment and compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements.

The position will be:

Part Time

Specific duties include:

Ensure that all company WH&S requirements are observed

Maintain a high quality, team focused, accurate and efficient work environment

Ensure the separation and triage of samples according to the priority of order, to facilitate the quick processing of specimens and delivery to our courier

The ability to prioritise specimens through interpretation of referrals and clinical notes

The ability to determine the correct sample requirements for the tests requested

Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external clients

Maintain and initiate excellent customer service skills at all times

Display a courteous and responsive phone manner

Skills and experience:

Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, or be studying for this as minimum

High attention to detail and experience working in a fast paced environment

An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work

Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team

Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services

Available to work as flexible roster, including weekends and public holiday
