Job summary

Healius Limited in Joondalup is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our 24/7 lab operations. You will receive, check and process specimens with high accuracy, enter data into laboratory systems and coordinate urgent specimen handling in a busy diagnostic environment.

We value attention to detail, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a team-focused approach. Prior laboratory experience is welcome but not essential; certificate in Laboratory Techniques is desirable.

Qualifications

• Immunisation evidence including Hepatitis B required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision as part of a team.
• Willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures.
• Previous laboratory experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and process specimens with a high level of accuracy.
• Complete data entry and registration of specimens into laboratory systems.
• Prepare and dispatch specimens to core laboratories within required timeframes.
• Manage enquiries via phone and shared mailboxes, escalating where required.
• Coordinate urgent specimen handling and courier collections.
• Maintain laboratory records, storage and filing processes.
• Participate in routine quality activities and follow laboratory procedures.
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies and maintain a safe working environment.

About The Role

Schedule: 24/7 lab rotating shifts M-S including public holiday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant to work in Joondalup. We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Requirements

Ability to provide evidence of immunisation requirements, including Hepatitis B
