Job summary

Hy-Tec, part of Adbri Limited, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the technical team at Chipping Norton on a permanent full-time basis. You will help test soils, aggregates, concrete and other construction materials, with training provided and opportunities to advance in a safety-focused, fast-paced lab environment.

You will perform testing, reporting and calibration, work with ISO/IEC 17025 NATA accreditation support, and collaborate with the NSW team to ensure quality results and

Qualifications

• Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.
• Experience in construction materials testing is preferred but not essential.
• A commitment to safety, quality, and the environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to follow instructions from supervisor and testing standards.
• Ability to self-motivate and work in a fast-paced culture.
• Able to work alone and/or as a team member.
• Australian driver’s license.
• White Card is an advantage, but not essential.
• MS Office knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory testing of concrete, aggregates, and associated construction materials; training will be provided.
• Reporting of accurate results.
• Adhere to procedures and work systems.
• Perform equipment calibration and basic maintenance as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Assist the NSW technical and laboratory team with ISO/IEC 17025 NATA accreditation.
