James Cook University (JCU) is seeking an experienced leader for the role of Manager, Laboratory and Technical Services (Education, Life and Environmental Sciences). The position oversees planning and delivery of laboratory and technical services across multiple disciplines and campuses, ensuring safety, compliance and alignment with student learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Management experience within biological, earth and/or environmental science laboratories, or related scientific and technical environments.
• Leadership experience in complex technical and operational environments.
• Experience overseeing complex laboratory and technical operations, including specialised laboratories and equipment.
• Demonstrated experience leading safety and compliance within complex laboratory environments, with knowledge of WHS requirements and regulatory standards.
• Experience coordinating resources across multiple disciplines and locations to meet service needs.
