Job summary

Coffey Testing is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor based at the Morwell facility. You will manage day-to-day lab operations, oversee sample receival and lifecycle, and drive quality and safety across the team. Lead a skilled group, ensure SOPs are followed, and maintain strong client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes people leadership, performance management, and continuous improvement in a high‑quality environment. An advantageous Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in laboratory and field testing of construction materials.
• Proven experience leading and coordinating a laboratory team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across stakeholders.
• Unwavering commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety culture in the laboratory and ensure adherence to policies.
• Lead and manage day-to-day laboratory operations and SOPs.
• Ensure outputs are accurate, timely, and meet quality standards.
• Coach and mentor laboratory staff and manage performance and training needs.
• Oversee client satisfaction and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
