Job summary

ALS Geochemistry in Malaga, Australia, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance All Rounder to join our maintenance team. This full-time role covers a broad range of general maintenance tasks within a laboratory environment, including building projects and equipment upkeep.

The successful candidate will read drawings, perform minor repairs, and work autonomously as part of a collaborative team, with occasional overtime. A manual driving license and willingness to learn across trades are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or building projects.
• Carpentry and/or joinery experience.
• Ability to read drawings and carry out small repairs.
• Current driver’s licence (C Class) – manual.
• Flexibility to do occasional overtime or weekend work.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, while being a team player.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Proven ability to handle a diverse workload.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks in a laboratory environment.
• Carry out building tasks and minor repairs; support maintenance of on-site equipment.
• Liaise with maintenance team members and facilities management regarding issues or downtime.
