Job summary

Nongshim Australia is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team in Macquarie Park. The role supports day-to-day accounting operations, month-end processes, reconciliations, and accounts management, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of accounting experience and familiarity with SAP. A proactive, team-oriented approach and strong time management skills are essential to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accounts Receivable: Manage customer accounts, prepare AR reports, analyse ageing balances and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• General Ledger: Perform GL reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are resolved in a timely manner.
• Month-end Closing: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Compliance and Audit: Assist with tax compliance and statutory reporting, prepare supporting schedules and documentation for external financial audits, and assist with internal audit requirements as needed.
