Job summary

KFC Australia is seeking an Assistant Accountant on a 12‑month fixed-term contract at Frenchs Forest, NSW. You will support the end‑to‑end purchase order and invoice process, coordinate with Finance and Marketing, and help ensure accurate expenditure coding and timely month‑end activities.

Ideal candidates have an accounting qualification (CPA studies encouraged), experience in AP, good GST/tax knowledge, and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Raise and maintain purchase orders across business expenditure.
• Review, code and process supplier invoices, ensuring the correct accounts, cost centres, projects and tax treatments are applied.
• Monitor invoices through to payment and investigate discrepancies, unmatched purchase orders and payment issues.
• Partner with our Shared Services team, budget owners and suppliers to resolve queries and keep payments moving.
• Support month-end activities including accruals, prepayments, journals and reconciliations.
• Help ensure expenditure is captured accurately in the correct accounting period.
