Kmart Department Managers are crucial to our success, leading teams to deliver high standards of customer experience through effective merchandising, replenishment, and customer service.

Requiring strong product knowledge and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, whilst ensuring a safe and compliant store environment through effective process execution and team leadership. This is a full-time role in our Perth region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to deliver safe, inclusive, engaging store culture.
• Solve process issues fast using data, metrics and benchmarks for effective solutions.
• Communicate openly and involve teammates to hit individual and team targets.

Requiring strong product knowledge and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, whilst ensuring a safe and compliant store environment through effective process execution and team leadership.

As both process leaders and implementers of key business initiatives, they confidently navigate complexity to keep the store running smoothly and deliver strong results.

What you’ll be doing

• Leadership & Motivation - Support team decisions and promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture, involving others appropriately in team-based activities and projects.
• Strategic Thinking - Address process breakdowns with speed and attention to detail, using data, metrics, and benchmarks to drive effective solutions.
• Relationship Building - Share information transparently to avoid surprises and involve others where appropriate to achieve individual and team goals.
• Operational Excellence - Focus on both processes and outcomes, continuously improving ways of working by adapting methods to eliminate inefficiencies and wasted effort.
