Job summary

City Beach Residential College in Perth is establishing a pool of Kitchenhands for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies arising in 2026 through to the end of September 2027. Successful applicants will assist the Cook with meal preparation and breakfast setup, and will help keep the kitchen clean and well‑organized for the next day’s service.

Additional duties include pantry, freezer and storage cleaning, stock control for breakfast and lunch, maintaining hygiene standards,

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with meal preparation.
• Clean up equipment used for breakfast and prepare food for the following day.
• Keep pantries, freezers, cool rooms and store rooms clean and tidy; ensure sufficient crockery, cutlery, condiments and sauces.
• Undertake stock control of breakfast and lunch requirements and place/receive orders.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene by mopping floors daily and vacuuming dining area; hose cleaning of kitchen floors and external appliances.
• Assist with other kitchen related duties as directed by the cook, senior supervisor or college manager.
