Loaves & Fishes Tasmania in Devonport, TAS is seeking a reliable Kitchen Steward to join a busy, community-focused kitchen team. You will help keep the kitchen clean, safe and efficient, support with basic food preparation and daily operations, and assist with deliveries and stock control to ensure meals reach the highest standards.

The role values a positive attitude, reliability and teamwork, with opportunities for skill development in food safety and hospitality.

Qualifications

Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a hands-on approach.
Good organizational skills and attention to cleanliness and detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen and manage competing priorities.
Good communication and teamwork.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene, or willingness to learn.
Physical capacity for active kitchen duties (standing, lifting, cleaning).
WWVP registration or ability to obtain one.

Responsabilités

Maintain a clean, safe, organized kitchen and wash dishes, utensils and equipment.
Operate dishwashing equipment following cleaning and sanitising procedures.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation and other kitchen duties as required.
Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, storage and organisation of kitchen areas.
Follow food safety and workplace health and safety procedures.
