Job summary

Panthers Penrith Leagues Club is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward to help keep our two busy kitchens spotless and well organised. You will be responsible for washing, sanitising and storing equipment, maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring all areas are guest-ready for service.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable lifting up to 15 kg. You will join a supportive team and contribute to a great dining experience for our members and visitors.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a great team attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Ability to safely lift, push and pull kitchen items weighing 10–15kg.
• A calm, reliable approach in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
• A willingness to get stuck in and see the job through.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchens and food storage areas clean, organised and ready for service
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, appliances, tools and utensils
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and workplace safety
• Safely using and storing cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Support Panthers home games, including moving food and crockery to offsite venues when required
• Supporting with general kitchen duties to keep the team running smoothly

About the Role

Working behind the scenes, your role is essential to the smooth operation of our two busy kitchens. You’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across kitchen and food storage areas, as well as ensuring all machinery and equipment are properly cleaned and prepared. Our Kitchen Stewards take pride in their work, are self-motivated, and ensure all kitchen areas are consistently clean, organised, and well presented.

As a Kitchen Steward, you will:

• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, appliances, tools and utensils
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and workplace safety
