Job summary

Novotel Surfers Paradise, part of the Accor group, is seeking a part-time kitchen assistant to support daily operations through dishwashing and light food prep at our Gold Coast location.

You will work 24 hours minimum on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays, ensure clean utensils, maintain sanitation, and follow HACCP and WHS guidelines. Uniform provided and Accor staff perks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Able to work across shifts including weekends.
• Valid Australian working rights.

Job Description

About the role:

• Part TimeRole, minimum guaranteed hours 24
• You will be supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through dishwashing and some food preparation
• You will insure there isa constant and sufficient supply of equipment and clean utensils to all outlets at all times.
• You will be responsible for providing the highest level of attention to all aspects of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Kitchen, including but not limited to cutlery, crockery and commercial equipment
• Recycling and removal of rubbish
• Assisting Chefs with food preparation as required
• Adhere to all sanitation and chemical use guidelines.
• Follow and adhere to all HACCAP hygiene, ALLSafe and WHS requirements.
• Work on a rotation roster, including AM, PM shifts on a 7 day rotation roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

You may have previous experience in a similar fast paced environment. Regardless of your level of experience, there are a few things that would make you shine in this role, which include:

• Great energy and a "Find the YES!" positive attitude.
• Good time management skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to multi task will be essential to this role
• Professional, well-groomed appearance, demonstrating pride in presentation.
• Flexibility and ability to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and Public Holidays
• Experience in a similar role is ideal
• You might be a Commerical Cookery Student, looking to gain some practical experience
• You hold valid working rights for Australia
