Job summary

Gage Roads Freo is expanding its kitchen team across all levels, from Cooks to Sous Chef and Chef de Partie. You’ll prep and execute an elevated casual dining menu featuring pizza, tacos and a large share section built around local produce in a kitchen that fits our port-side home.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience from Cook to Sous Chef.
• Restaurant/hotel or high-volume venue experience relevant to the level you're applying for.
• Friendly, enthusiastic and positive team player.
• Creative flair and strong presentation skills for quality food.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Execute dishes and run a section to a high standard from à la carte to high-volume service.
• Lead, supervise and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Assist with menu development, costing and recipe documentation.
• Manage stock control, ordering, supplier relationships and wastage minimisation.
• Maintain food safety, HACCP and WHS standards; assist rostering and labour forecasting.
