Job summary

Gemelli Group is seeking a reliable Kitchen Production Assistant for its production kitchen in Southport, on the Gold Coast. You will assist in making fresh pasta, gelato and desserts, weighing ingredients, and following recipes under supervision. Training will be provided and the role supports multiple production areas.

No prior pasta or gelato experience is required as we will teach you. Immediate start and casual hours available to join a busy, friendly team.

Qualifications

• Some experience in a commercial kitchen or food production preferred.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
• Reliable, punctual and a team player.
• Willingness to learn and work across different production areas.
• Must have own transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production of fresh pasta, gelato and desserts.
• Weigh, measure and prepare ingredients.

Gemelli Group is looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Production Assistant to join our production kitchen in Southport.

Our kitchen produces fresh pasta, gelato, desserts and other products for our restaurants across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

We're not necessarily looking for an experienced chef! We're looking for someone with basic kitchen knowledge, good organisational skills and a positive attitude who is eager to learn.

You’ll work alongside experienced kitchen staff who will provide hands-on training, guidance and supervision.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting with the production of fresh pasta, gelato and desserts

• Weighing, measuring and preparing ingredients

• Following recipes and production instructions

• Maintaining quality and consistency

• Keeping workstations clean and organised
