Job summary

Trippas White Group is seeking a Kitchen Hand for the Virgin Lounge at Sydney Airport. This full-time, part-time or casual role offers flexible hours across a 7-day roster in a corporate lounge environment.

You will help with food preparation, station setup, and teamwork to ensure high standards of service and hygiene. Ideal candidates are passionate about great food, able to work under pressure, and hold a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to prepare ingredients and maintain station cleanliness.
• Collaborate with chefs, prep cooks and lounge attendants for smooth workflow.
• Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills.
• Adhere to OH&S and food hygiene requirements.
• Experience in kitchen production is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation: Cutting, chopping, slicing and seasoning ingredients.
• Station maintenance: Set up workstations, keep area clean, follow hygiene standards.
• Team collaboration: Work with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Order fulfilment: Prepare food orders quickly to meet demand.
• Washing: Clean utensils, plates and cutlery.

We are currently seeking a talented Kitchen Hand to join our team at the Virgin Lounge, Sydney Airport.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Food Preparation: Cutting, chopping, slicing, and seasoning ingredients.
• Station Maintenance: Setting up workstations, ensuring cleanliness, and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Team Collaboration: Working with other kitchen staff, including chefs, prep cooks, and lounge attendants to ensure an efficient workflow.
• Order Fulfilment: Preparing food orders in a timely manner to meet customer demands.
• Washing: Washing all utensils, plates, and cutlery.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A passion for great food and customer service.
• Experience working under pressure in a similar role within a corporate/client workplace.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Good knowledge of OH&S and food hygiene requirements.
• Great personal grooming, presentation, and a confident and pleasant manner.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Proven experience within kitchen production.
• A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
