Job summary

Cater Care is hiring Kitchen Hands for Trinity College at the University of Melbourne, Parkville, Victoria. The role supports chefs, maintains a clean kitchen, and ensures crockery and equipment are ready for service.

Shifts include a mix of weekday and weekend rosters, with a start in January 2027. This is a permanent part-time opportunity within a new food service operation at Trinity College.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen hands, dishwashing or commercial cleaning is advantageous.
• Ready to contribute in a busy kitchen and maintain hygiene standards.
• Ability to work across weekday and weekend rosters.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing equipment and clean crockery, cutlery, pots and utensils.
• Sanitise kitchen surfaces, equipment, floors and wash-up areas.
• Keep kitchen areas organised and ready for service.
• Assist chefs with basic duties and organise supplies.
• Manage rubbish and waste according to procedures.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and safety requirements.
