Job summary

Accor is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support the Mobius Bar & Grill kitchen in Sydney's Darling Harbour precinct. You will wash and sanitise dishes, operate dishwashing equipment, and keep the kitchen tidy while assisting with basic food prep when needed.

You'll join a fast-paced team, maintain cleanliness and safety, and help with waste disposal. Availability for mornings/evenings/weekends/public holidays is required; prior hotel/restaurant experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand in a hotel, restaurant or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently and remain organised during busy service periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely perform manual handling duties and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work a flexible rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
• Operating commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, storage areas and back-of-house areas.
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required.
• Removing rubbish and maintaining waste disposal and recycling areas.
• Receiving, storing and organising kitchen supplies.
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Supporting chefs and the wider Kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Ensuring cleaning chemicals and equipment are used and stored safely.
