Leaf Cafe & Co The Glen seeks a Kitchen Hand / Chef / Cook to join our new team in Glen Waverley. Expect 40–45 hours per week across 5 days, with weekend shifts. We value reliability, food safety, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Candidates with proven kitchen experience and a can-do attitude are encouraged, as we provide training, professional development, and opportunities for growth within our expanding restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a chef/cook or kitchen hand.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred, but not required.
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients and flavors.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Food safety certification and hygiene awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to high standards as part of a team.
• Assist with kitchen station prep and food assembly during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all areas of the kitchen.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery.
