Job summary

Advantaged Care at Barden Lodge in Barden Ridge is seeking a Kitchen Hand to support meal production and service for our aged care residents on a part-time and casual basis. The role involves assisting with meal preparation, ensuring dietary needs are respected, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

There is an opportunity to step up to Cook 1-2 days a week. Applicants should have a Food Safety Certificate, at least 6 months kitchen experience (aged care preferred), and strong communication

Qualifications

• Food Safety Certificate is required.
• Minimum 6 months kitchen experience, preferably in the aged care sector.
• Strong passion for food and teamwork with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the production and delivery of meals for residents.
• Help ensure meals meet residents' dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and support smooth kitchen operations.

The residence brings an unprecedented level of affordable luxury to Aged Care and is designed to create an inviting, comfortable, calm and peaceful environment for our residents and families to enjoy.

We are currently recruiting for Kitchen Hands on a part time and casual basis.

Ability to step up to the cook role 1-2 days a week

About the role:

As a Kitchen Hand you assist with the production and delivery of an amazing food experience to our residents in line with their preferences and dietary requirement.

What we look for:

• Food Safety Certificate.
• 6 months kitchen experience preferably in the aged care sector.
• A strong passion for food.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Hard Working, flexible with good availability to cover shifts.

All applicants must be willing to provide a valid police check and undergo a pre-employment medical. The successful candidate will be required to have a flu vaccination in line with government direction.
