Job summary

The Dairy Ravensbourne Pty Ltd, Ravensbourne QLD, is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our hospitality team on a casual basis. Based in Ravensbourne, this role supports our chefs and helps maintain high kitchen standards to deliver quality meals to our guests.

You will assist with food preparation, keep the kitchen clean and hygienic, follow safety procedures and work with the team during busy service periods. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Good communication and teamwork with staff.
• Physically fit to stand long periods and lift items safely.
• Reliability and punctuality for casual role.
• Willing to learn and take direction from senior staff.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred; training provided.
• Knowledge of food safety practices or willingness to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation and cooking tasks as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, including washing dishes and utensils.
• Clear and organise workstations for an efficient kitchen environment.
• Manage waste disposal per health and safety regulations.
• Stock shelves and storage areas with dry goods and kitchen supplies.
• Follow all food safety and kitchen safety procedures.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.

The Dairy Ravensbourne Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our hospitality team on a casual basis. Based in Ravensbourne, QLD 4352, this role is fundamental to maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen and supporting our chefs in delivering quality meals to our guests. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen operates efficiently, hygienically, and safely whilst maintaining the high standards our guests expect.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting chefs with food preparation and cooking tasks as directed

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or willingness to obtain relevant certifications
