Job summary

Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand for a 2pm–8pm Wednesday shift at Shangri-La aged care home in Hurstville, NSW.

You will assist with food preparation, support nutritious meals, maintain a hygienic kitchen, and help deliver respectful customer service to residents. NDIS screening and influenza vaccination are required or willing to obtain. Sponsorship will not be offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Hand in residential aged care.
• Understanding of texture modified foods.
• Organised and able to work in a busy kitchen, meet deadlines, and provide friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support smooth kitchen operations to ensure residents have a positive dining experience.
• Assist with the food preparation of nutritious meals that meet individual dietary needs and choices.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment through cleaning and safe food storage.
• Assist with food service while providing respectful and efficient customer service.

The exciting opportunity

• Permanent part-time role working 2pm - 8pm on Wednesdays
• Join the team at our homely 45 bed Shangri-La aged care home in Hurstville
• Support smooth kitchen operations to ensure residents have a positive dining experience
• Assist with the food preparation of nutritious meals that meet individual dietary needs and choices
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment through cleaning and safe food storage
• Assist with food service while providing respectful and efficient customer service
