Crystalbrook Flynn in Cairns seeks a Kitchen Attendant to join a lively, fast-paced kitchen team. You will assist with food preparation, keep the kitchen clean and well organized, and ensure service readiness across a rotating roster.

This casual role offers approximately 24–38 hours per week, including nights, weekends and public holidays. Previous kitchen experience helps, but willingness to learn, reliability and food safety awareness are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar kitchen role is preferred but not essential.
• Basic food preparation skills and understanding of food safety principles.
• Experience using a commercial dishwasher and cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Reliable, organised and able to stay calm during busy services.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Availability for approximately 24–38 hours per week, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Valid working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support our chefs with food preparation and keep the kitchen clean, organized and ready for service.
• Assist with preparing fresh ingredients and simple cooking tasks; keep dishes, utensils and equipment ready for the next service.
• Receive deliveries, organise stock and maintain food storage areas, ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
