Job summary

VACCA in Dandenong seeks an Aboriginal Kinship Care Case Manager to support Aboriginal children to thrive within family, culture and community. You will provide case management and ongoing support to children and kinship carers, helping strengthen cultural connections and positive outcomes.

You will work in a culturally responsive team, balancing advocacy, assessment and reporting with the best interests of Aboriginal children at the centre of practice, while maintaining strong relationships

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree qualification in Community Services, Social Worker and/or substantial experience in the field.
• Valid Police Check.
• Victorian Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and ongoing support to children and kinship carers.
• Help strengthen cultural connections, stability and positive outcomes for young people.
• Balance advocacy, assessment, reporting and family support with the best interests of Aboriginal children.
