Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School invites applications for Early Childhood Educators at the Essendon Campus. The full-day Kindergarten programme supports four to five-year-olds with dedicated qualified teachers in bright spaces.

The roles involve delivering engaging curricula, collaborating with the Kindergarten team and families, and contributing to child safety and well-being initiatives. Positions include part-time and fixed-term full-time options for 2027, starting 25 January.

Formación

• An appropriate early childhood qualification, such as a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, or equivalent.
• Relevant experience working within a kindergarten or early childhood setting.
• Strong understanding of contemporary early childhood education and practice.
• Current first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training.
• A valid Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Check.

Responsabilidades

• Support the design and implementation of an engaging, inquiry-based curriculum that responds to children’s individual needs, interests and development.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, collaboration and a love of learning.
• Support children’s social and emotional development and use inclusive practices to meet diverse learning needs.
• Develop respectful relationships with children and support them to navigate choices and decisions positively.
• Contribute to observations, documentation, learning goals and reflections for individual and group learning.
• Collaborate with teachers, educators, families and the wider school community.
• Participate in team meetings, professional learning and ongoing evaluation of programmes and practices.
• Contribute to the Kindergarten’s Quality Improvement Plan and Assessment and Rating processes.
