Job summary

YMCA Whittlesea seeks Kindergarten Co-Educators to join Kirrip Kindergarten in Wollert and Eucalyptus Parade Kindergarten in Donnybrook. Working with teachers, you will help deliver a play-based program for young children within a supportive not-for-profit setting.

Ideal applicants hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services, have EYLF knowledge, current First Aid/CPR, WWCC, and can work 3–4 days per week from Term 1 2027 or casual hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EYLF and child development.
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• WWCC and Police Check (including international where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver a play-based program for children in partnership with teachers.
• Support educational leaders and management to create a nurturing learning environment.
• Contribute to planning, documentation, and inclusive practice.

What's the opportunity?

We're looking for Kindergarten Co-Educators (Cert III or Diploma) to join our friendly teams at two of our kindergartens: Kirrip Kindergarten in Wollert and Eucalyptus Parade Kindergarten in Donnybrook. As a co-educator, you'll work alongside our kindergarten teachers to deliver a fun, play-based program for children. We have the following positions available across both kindergartens:

• Part-time: Kindergarten Co-Educators, 3 to 4 days per week commencing Term 1 2027. Opportunity to pick up additional casual hours in 2026 if desired.
